Prof. Dr Murthy was born and brought up in Adoni. He studied at TGLV High School and then Adoni Arts & Science College. He got his Bachelor Degree in Commerce & Statistics from Sri Venkateswara University; Master in Business Administration (MBA) and Philosophy Doctorate (PhD) from International University for Contemporary Studies, Washington DC, US. Also Master Professional of Finance from American Academy of Financial Management, Los Angles US and a Certified Corporate Director from Institute of Directors, New Delhi, India. Common Wealth Vocational University, Kingdom of Tonga conferred him with the title Professor of Finance (Honoris Causa) during 2019.

On returning from his studies, joined renowned south based Industry and served for 13 years covering the areas of Industrial Insurance and Risk Management etc. He hoisted his own Flag in the year 2000 and soaring to greater heights year after year.
